Event Risk Types
Sanctioning requirements listed by event type (high, medium, and low risk):
High Risk Event - Sanctioning Requirements
Defined as high risk if ANY of the following apply:
- Any events that involve competitive driving or are held at a drag strip, speedway or race track.
- Car Shows, Poker Runs, Autocross, Slaloms, Field Trials or Time Trials.
Note: these events are not automatically covered under our general liability policy and require additional insurance applications and fees payable to K&K Insurance in advance per each event.
Fees: (due 30 days in advance, no exceptions)
$179 for a Car Show, Rally, or Poker Run. (payable to K & K Insurance)
$15 document processing fee for all high risk events. (payable to Mustang Club)
Rates quoted above are for 250 people or less attending, for events over 250 people, the following rates apply:
251-500 people $221
501-1500 people $375
Any drag strip, speedway or race track events, contact us for a special quote from our insurance carrier.
Before the event, at least 30 days:
Sanctioning is contingent upon submitting a properly completed event application,
and event insurance fees mailed to the Mustang Club national office at least thirty (30) days prior to the event,
no exceptions.
Mail two checks to the Mustang Club national office; a $15 check or money order payable to "Mustang Club",
and a check payable to "K&K Insurance" for the proper amount.
After your event application and fees are received and approved by the Mustang Club national office,
an email confirmation will be sent to you.
In addition to this confirmation, we will mail you a packet containing K&K Waiver and Release of
Liability and Indemnity Agreements, post-event reporting forms and Mustang Club promotional materials.
Plan to collect from each attendee enough event fees to cover the costs of insuring your event.
We recommend registering your event at least two or three months early and collect
registration fees in advance so you can pay the fees in advance.
Failure to comply with these requirements will result in no insurance coverage.
During the event:
Collect fees to cover insurance premiums and additional expenses as needed.
(unless you have already collected the fees in advance of the event day)
Waiver and Release requirement:
For any competitive event, each event participant MUST sign the K&K Waiver and Release of Liability and
Indemnity Agreement.
The waivers are mandatory for each participant, and is a condition of
"Participant Legal Liability Coverage" of our insurance policy.
Mustang Club Recognition and Membership Applications:
The Mustang Club must be prominently recognized as "Hosted by" or "Sponsored by" for the event.
This recognition should include, at a minimum, a display of a Mustang Club signage at the event,
use of the Mustang Club name and logo on registration and other promotional materials produced for the event.
The Mustang Club will provide camera-ready logos for use in this regard.
The event organizer shall also make available Mustang Club membership applications at the event.

All the signed K&K liability waivers MUST be forwarded to Mustang Club at the following address:

Medium Risk Event - Sanctioning Requirements
Defined as medium risk if ANY of the following apply:
- Events with more than 50 people attending (count all members, non-members, spouses, children, etc.)
- When event fees pay for food or alcoholic beverages.
- Events where driving is the main focus of the event, "Cruise".
- Any multi day event.
- Events that involve vendors.
Fees:
None
Before the event, at least 30 days:
Sanctioning is contingent upon submitting a properly completed event application at least thirty (30) days prior to the event.
After your application has been received and approved by the Mustang Club national office,
an email confirmation will be sent to you. In addition to this confirmation, you will receive a packet containing
post-event reporting forms and Mustang Club promotional materials.
Failure to comply with these requirements will result in no insurance coverage.
During the event:
Collect any fees to cover additional expenses as needed. (unless you have already collected the fees in advance of the event day.)

Low Risk Event - Sanctioning Requirements
Defined as low risk if ALL of the following apply:
- Events with less than 50 people attending (count all members, non-members, spouses, children, etc.)
- Events that do not qualify as medium or high risk as per the requirements listed above.
Fees:
None
Before the event, at least 7 days:
Sanctioning is contingent upon submitting a properly completed event application at
least seven (7) days prior to the event.
After your application has been received and approved by the Mustang Club national office,
an email confirmation will be sent to you and the event will show up on our
national event calendar at
www.mustangclub.org/events.
During the event:
